Speaking of good sitcoms . . .
The Office is one of my favorites. The past 2 summers they have had a contest on their website for a walk-on part. I've tried both years, but sadly didn't win. It occurred to me that I haven't seen anything about that this year. Surely just an oversight on their part. I think I'll have to write and remind them.

ABOUT THE WEBSITE
Many people have asked what this blog is about. It is merely a blog about making wacky (or even not so wacky) requests . . . hey, you never know! I tried to make it more meaningful blog until a friend pointed out the world is heavy enough and needs more "lightness." Permission granted, I am forging ahead. So far, this has been about our requests . . . but I'll be glad to ask for you, too. Just send an email to the address at the bottom with your request and requestor contact information and I'll do my best. By the way, it's not limited to celebrities!!

Upon further research
It Never Hurts To Ask is a great concept (we think anyway), but I wasn't exactly sure what to do with it. And so I sent an email to friends and asked what they thought of the phrase. I got back the responses I was expecting ("You're right, life's too short!", "Absolutely, nothing ventured, nothing gained!") . And then I got some answers that surprised me, but that were very true (thank goodness for smart friends!). Responses varied from "be careful what you ask for" to "sometimes it DOES hurt to ask". Taking that into consideration, I added an asterisk which is *as long as you're OK with the answer. Colleen and I try to ask questions where if we get what we hoped we are ecstatic (it doesn't take much to make us happy) and if we don't get it, we're no worse off.
